Geyser Expedition Procedure

1. visit to the Geysir Museum
Learn how the world's highest cold-water geyser works in our museum. The journey to Geysir Andernach begins with an interactive elevator that visually takes you 4000 m underground. In 5 exhibition areas, you will learn everything you need to know about the cold-water geyser in an exciting way.

** You decide how much time you want to spend in the museum based on your arrival time.

2nd boat transfer to Namedyer Werth
Our boat then takes you from the Rhine facilities in Andernach to the Rhine peninsula of Namedyer Werth, where you can experience the geyser eruption. The crossing takes approx. 15 minutes. Book your ticket for the departure time.

3rd geyser eruption
Once you arrive at the Namedyer Werth, you leave the ship and walk approx. 350 m to the eruption site. Here you will experience the highest cold-water geyser in the world. Afterwards, the ship will take you back to Andernach.

*Duration of expedition: approx. 2.5- 3 hours

Nice excursion with a nice explanation. We had a very nice trip to the geyser. The geyser was very impressive to see. Special thanks to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and thus made the excursion possible for us (help due to walking disability).

Absolutely recommendable! In an interactive tour, you can learn about the formation of a geyser in a playful way. The absolute highlight is the boat trip to the geyser, where you can see the natural spectacle live.
