A promotion for the sake of nature

Less CO2 through LED lighting

Dividing line

The Geysir Andernach is a great example of the unbridled power of nature. And because this nature is important to us, we attach great importance to ensuring that your geyser expedition causes as few emissions as possible. That is why we have started to keep ourCO2 emissions as low as possible.

To reduceCO2 emissions, the conventional lighting in the Geysir Museum was replaced with energy-saving LED lamps. The replacement was carried out as part of a funding project by the project management organisation Jülich and was completed in September 2018. By replacing the light sources, we expect to achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions of 135 tonnes over the next 20 years. And that is just the beginning.

Nice excursion with a nice explanation. We had a very nice trip to the geyser. The geyser was very impressive to see. Special thanks to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and thus made the excursion possible for us (help due to walking disability).

Absolutely recommendable! In an interactive tour, you can learn about the formation of a geyser in a playful way. The absolute highlight is the boat trip to the geyser, where you can see the natural spectacle live.
