Learning with fun and excitement at the Geysir Museum
Your very special museum experience in Andernach
Your Geysir Expedition begins with a visit to the Geysir Museum. It is centrally located in Andernach, directly on the Rhine promenade. From the moment you enter the museum, you know that this will be no ordinary visit. Museum visit museum. There are a total of six areas to visit: Kick-off, Draught, Slate Cave, Borehole, Exits and About the Earth. Each deals with a different subject area and has a different impressive design.
A collective of freelance set designers created the scenery. Entire museum areas, such as the slate cave, allow visitors to enter a seemingly alien world. At times, you actually have the feeling that you are thousands of metres underground. That's how realistically the sets are made.
In each area you will find numerous exhibits that deal with the respective topic. Some of them show physical and chemical processes that normally take place deep below us. Others demonstrate these processes experimentally and bring them closer to you in a haptic way with the help of levers, nozzles, drills and pumps. This is learning in the impressive atmosphere of the Geysir Museum.
The boat trip and the visit to the Geysir site are barrier-free. If you have any questions regarding accessibility, the staff on site will be happy to help.

Dogs are not allowed in the Geysir Museum or on the Geysir grounds. (Exception are assistance dogs)
