The "Slate Cave" as an atmospheric world of knowledge

Dividing line

You are now at a depth of 500 metres. As soon as you step out of the mine lift after your exciting descent, you can't help but be amazed. In front of you is the slate cave, elaborately designed by a group of freelance artists and stage designers. The large, dark vault looks so realistic that you have the feeling it is real.

Huge slate pillars seem just able to support the massive ceiling. Above them lie thousands of tonnes of rock and earth. Light installations strongly set the stage for the artificial stone formations. Let the fascinating atmosphere take effect on you.

The slate cave is one of the highlights of your visit to the museum. But it is not only visually impressive. The multimedia exhibits also arouse your interest. At numerous vertical water columns you can test for yourself howCO2 dissolves in water. You are welcome to try it out!

Nice excursion with a nice explanation. We had a very nice trip to the geyser. The geyser was very impressive to see. Special thanks to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and thus made the excursion possible for us (help due to walking disability).

Absolutely recommendable! In an interactive tour, you can learn about the formation of a geyser in a playful way. The absolute highlight is the boat trip to the geyser, where you can see the natural spectacle live.
